Jackson Martin

The Redemptive Quality of Life, 2010
Dumpster, soil, trash bags, trees
Dimensions variable

At the core of Jackson’s site specific installation is a collaborative embrace of the natural and the cultural. This composition of an industrial dumpster and raw organic earth and trees is intended to be an affirmation of the strength and resilience of the natural world.

Martin received his MFA from the Rinehart School of Sculpture, Maryland Institute College of Art. He is currently an adjunct instructor at the East Tennessee State University in Johnson City.
