Lori Nozick

Lori Nozick uses architectural and organic forms and structures to evoke a sense of place and history. Made entirely of pure salt, this work responds directly to the environment:  air, rain, wind, sun, land, water and human interaction all have a direct impact on the material.   Nozick‚Äôs work emphasizes the intersection of architecture and environment .

Nozick has exhibited her work in galleries and museums; has been a visiting artist and artist in residence for state, county, and city arts organizations, museums, and university/art schools; and has done site-specific installations in parks and communities, public art projects and private commissions. She has received numerous grants and commissions for these projects, including two NYC % For Art/SITES For Schools/Public Art In Public Schools commissions.  She received her MFA from Pratt Institute and is currently an Adjunct Professor at William Paterson University in New Jersey.  She lives in Crompond, NY.
