Key West High School and Jim Racchi

Inspired by native home-made shelters, Key West artist Jim Racchi instructed Shannon Perkin's honors art class to collect driftwood, recycled materials and other found materials to make a sculpture for the 2008 exhibition. The piece, Untitled Pyramid, was made over a period of several months by 6 students from the Key West High School.

Jim Racchi is a local artist who founded Sculpture Key West (then called Art in the Park) in 1995. He remains active with the non-profit organization as a member of the Board of Directors.
