Jane King: Public Service Public Art Project
Cast aluminum, acrylic paint
90” x 36” x 4”

In “Jane King: Public Service Public Art Project”, the artist Norm Magnusson uses an historical looking marker to present an instance where gender income disparity still exists within society today. This marker is part of his ongoing I-75 Project which spans 1700 miles from Michigan through Florida. The artist hopes that by adding the weight of history to pressing contemporary social and political issues, the audience will see the issues in a more serious light.

The I-75 Project has been featured in The New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, Modern Painters, in a documentary by PBS and many other publications. He lives in Lake Hill, NY.
