Karley Klopfenstein moved to Key West in 2002 after completing
graduate work in sculpture at Virginia Commonwealth University
in Richmond. She is interested in large-scale human endeavors:
wars, colonization, genocide, map making and space exploration
and the moments when these touch our personal lives through
language and visual communication, mass media, popular culture
and humor. She is a devoted fan of puns.
