Drawing inspiration from industrial and natural forms, Derek
Arnold’s monumental works take new life from old, discarded
machines. Most people see a defunct 15-ton land compactor
and a 5-ton trenching machine as waste…Arnold sees a
giant chicken. In his work, Derek Arnold seeks to evoke a
sense of harmony, conflict and/or humor. He lives in White
Hall, Maryland.
