Curtis studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pietrasanta School of Marble Carving in Italy. He works in fabricated aluminum and marble and has received artistic and technical awards for each. He shows frequently in Key West, where he also runs a fishing charter and dive business as well as the Lighthouse Project Space
