The collaborative team of Brown and Scofield began in 1999
when they received their MFAs from Rhode Island School of
Design. Since then, they have developed a body of work based
on the concept of “survival design” which references
technology based on recreational, industrial and safety equipment
through nomadic sculptural forms and lightweight tensile architecture.
