Lois Giffen was a painter for 40 years before she thought
about sculpture. She writes, “I first turned to sculpture
at a time when I was undergoing a period of rapid and intense
spiritual growth. In order to ground the psychic energy
which might have otherwise swept me away, I found it necessary
to work with harder materials than paint or clay.”
Lois has lived and studied art on five continents and currently
lives in Marathon, FL.
