Jim Racchi, Key Wester and founder of ART
IN THE PARK (now called Sculpture Key West), studied sculpture
in Cleveland and Italy. His work ranges from the more traditional,
hinting at his classical education of stone carving in Florence,
to playful and even abstract. He writes, “I draw with
steel, forming the figure directly in space.” Solares
Hill writes “he uses a line of steel as if he were sketching
a figure with a pencil, adding more lines until the contour
of the figure is fleshed out and wonderfully familiar.” |
