Sculptor Kristy Knight holds an MFA in Sculpture from RISD.
In her artist statement, she describes the three elements
that drive her work. “Materials and actions that signify
‘woman’s work’ and craft, sometimes used
in a ‘male’ context. Temporary works, time-sensitive,
self-destructive pieces and works that evolve over time
by disintegrating, disappearing or conversely, growing.
Magic: boundaries transcended, gravity defied, rules broken.”
Kristy currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
