New York Artist Luisa Caldwell has shown
extensively throughout her career in solo shows, project spaces
and group shows including the Sculpture Center in Long Island
other venues too numerous to list. She was the recipient of
the International Sculpture Center Grant in 1998 and has participated
in many residencies and visiting artists programs across the
country. She writes, “This plywood airplane should evoke
the spirit of play and freedom, contextually situated in this
park area, once a working fort, now a destination for relaxation
and recreation”.
